Let there be blog...

Why is it that I seem to be blank when I decide to write something on my blog?
Anyways it's the first of December and at the moment I am sitting all alone in m flat (which I do most of the time when I am in my flat seeing as I live on my own) wearing a dress with reindeers on it. My flat is almost completely devoid of Christmas stuff, as I can get a nice overdose of that at my parents' house (my mum is like a happy little child when it comes to Christmas, it's sweet actually). I've only gotten about 8 Christmas elves up and you don't even notice them.
Outside of my flat the city is covered in snow and has been since Friday 26th of November. I must admit snow is pretty but damn impractical when you have to travel on bike in it.
It's much nice to stay inside where it's cosy and warm (which it's not really here, I mean I did turn on the heat but now I need to wait for my flat to be reheated once again. I was a knob and turned it all down...).
Oh how I long to cuddle up with a good book and just not worry about anything else besides what's happening in the book.
See that's one of the great qualities of books they can transport you to faraway places even different wolds while you sit on your bum all safe and sound. Books are in a way portable worlds. It's amazing really how much power the written word wields.
And it's amazing how we human beings are able to communicate with one another, we have this ability from birth, the gift of absorbing language and then later using the language ourselves. The brain is such a fascinating thing/place.
Sorry about that but you see I am studying cognition at uni and really we are amazing creatures, all the things we can do (things we take for granted like reading and speaking).
I'll leave that topic for another time... And skip to something completely else.
If you didn't know I'm a bit of a weirdo... Well in this case it concerns my eating habits and how I change them, specifically when I change them.
For the last couple of years I've gone off sugar and I always do it in December. It's not hard for me to do and when I do I stick with it. Just like that I've decided to stick with a mainly vegetarian diet, I did it in 2009 in May and didn't touch meat for six months.
The point is not that I am excluding sugar and meat in my diet but mainly that I chose to do this in December xD
To some people that makes me crazy but you know what I don't mind. I can deal with crazy as it is already one of my "assets"...
My feet are cold and with that I'll take my leave oh dear internet of "mine".
So here I am signing out, Cora the cute knob...

P.S. Elphie I love and miss you. If I could have my wish I would be with you.
Thank you for everything and happy 1st December.
